This tour combines the places that made Azerbaijan the “Land of Fire” with natural sights you will not see anywhere else. A private car and driver take you comfortably to every stop around Baku.
First we visit the Ateshgah Fire Temple in Surakhani, built where natural gas comes out of the ground. Then we drive to Yanardag, the “Burning Mountain”, where flames burn non-stop on the hillside.
The second part of the day is in Gobustan. The UNESCO-listed Gobustan National Reserve holds thousands of rock carvings of people, animals and boats. Finally we see the mud volcanoes, one of the most unusual natural sights of Azerbaijan. After rain an off-road vehicle may be needed to reach them.
