Qusar & Shahdag

The Qusar district is home to Shahdag, Azerbaijan's main mountain resort, set beneath the 4,243-metre Shahdag peak. In winter it has ski and snowboard slopes; in summer, cable cars, mountain walks, zip lines and fresh mountain air.

Nearby is the village of Laza, surrounded by sheer cliffs and waterfalls — one of the most photographed places in the Caucasus. The town of Qusar itself is the centre of Lezgin culture in Azerbaijan.

Getting there with 4T Transfer

Shahdag is about 3 hours from Baku. A one-way transfer costs from 250 ₼ per car. We also meet guests at the resort hotels for the return trip to Baku or the airport.

Best time to visit

The ski season usually runs from December to March. From June to September the mountains are green and cool — a perfect escape from the heat of Baku.
