Shusha
Shusha, founded in the 18th century by Panah Ali Khan high on a rocky plateau in the mountains of Karabakh, is officially the cultural capital of Azerbaijan. It is known as the cradle of Azerbaijani music, poetry and mugham.
See the Jidir Duzu plateau with its views over the gorges, the Govhar Agha mosques, the house of the poetess Khurshidbanu Natavan and the old city walls. In May Shusha hosts the Kharibulbul music festival, named after the rare orchid that grows only here.
Getting there with 4T Transfer
Shusha is reached via the new Victory Road through Fuzuli — about 5–6 hours by car from Baku. Fuzuli International Airport is about an hour away. We arrange transfers and trips with a car and driver once the permit is confirmed. Prices on request.
Good to know
Travel to Karabakh and East Zangezur currently requires a permit issued in advance, and the rules may change. Contact us before planning the trip — we will advise on the current procedure and dates.
